đ Business Impact and Relevance (37.5%)
The extent to which the solution has the proven potential to positively improve the chosen problem space.
- Problem and social impact:Â Is the problem real, specific, and significant, and would solving it meaningfully improve people's lives? Strong entries back the problem with evidence and explain how impact (such as financial inclusion or lower costs) would be measured.
- Solution and differentiation:Â Does the solution directly address the problem, and why is it better than existing alternatives? The team should show how the product works for the user and what advantage sets it apart, including benefits that come from building on Stellar.
- Customer segment: Does the team know exactly who they're serving first? Strong entries name a specific, reachable customer group and give a sense of market size.
- Monetization:Â Is there a credible path to sustainability? Judges look for a clear revenue model, pricing the target customer can afford, and early thinking on costs.
- User validation: Has the team tested a prototype or MVP with real users? This rewards concrete feedback and evidence that the team learned from it and iterated.

âď¸Â Technology and Implementation (37.5%)
The extent to which the solution can be implemented in a real-world setting. The judges will look for solutions with a potential for integration with existing systems and processes and the ability to scale to meet the needs of the selected problem space. They will also be looking at whether teams received feedback from relevant partners and users in the development of the solution.
- Meaningful and innovative use of Stellar: Is Stellar essential to the solution, and is it used creatively? Strong entries make real use of features like Soroban smart contracts, Stellar assets, path payments, or anchors and SEPs, and can explain why Stellar is the right fit.
- Architecture and Scalability:Â Is the design sound and able to grow? Judges look for a sensible on-chain/off-chain split, clean integration with Horizon or Stellar RPC, and a realistic path to production.
- Working, verifiable build: Does it work, and can judges confirm it? This covers a deployed testnet or mainnet prototype with an end-to-end core flow, plus a public repo with clear documentation and contract IDs.
- Security and trust: Are user funds and data handled responsibly? This includes smart contract safety, wallet and key management, authentication, and awareness of compliance needs like KYC.
- User experience and accessibility: Does the product hide blockchain complexity from users? Good signs include smooth wallet onboarding, fee sponsorship, mobile-friendliness, and design for underbanked or low-connectivity users.
